According to Acer, the company that manufactures the Aspire S5, it is the world’s thinnest “ultrabook”, which measures at 0.6 in. at its thickest point. The Aspire S5 also has a neat trick called the “MagicFlip,” which unfurls a hidden row of ports — HDMI, USB and Thunderbolt — from the bottom of the laptop when the user presses a button. It’ll be available in the second quarter for between $1,000 and $1,300, depending on configuration.
